Askrigg Village Wedding | North Yorkshire
Nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, Shannon & Macaulay chose to have their wedding in the little village of Askrigg. I met Shannon a couple of years before, where she was the florist at a wedding I was photographing, and so it was super nice to see her get in touch with me about her own wedding. I spent the morning with Macaulay and his groomsmen, where they had a super relaxed morning at home, before heading to the Middle House pub in Askrigg for a pint with them and some of their guests. Shortly after, we all headed down to St Oswald’s Church, which was just a short walk away, where Macaulay was greeted by some of the Askrigg locals who had come to show their support. Shannon had done an incredible job with the flowers in and around the church, making it look truly beautiful. She arrived at the church to a gathering of people, all joining in to make the celebrations of their day even more special. They enjoyed a stunning ceremony, before making their way out for one of the longest confetti lines I’ve ever seen! For their reception, they headed to their family farm, just up the road in Bainbridge, for an afternoon of drinks and laughter. After some incredible speeches, we headed out for a relaxed walk around the grounds at sunset, for some couple photos. They finished off with a great first dance, and then an evening party that had everyone dancing. Here are a selection of my favourite images from Shannon & Macaulay’s day.
