Barnbougle Castle Wedding - Scotland
Cali & Adam held their wedding at Barnbougle Castle - a historic tower house castle, that is just outside of Edinburgh. With some unique interiors, and incredible views out over the Firth of Forth, this venue certainly is one of a kind.
They both had a relaxed morning, making the most of the lovely September weather. Adam got ready with his groomsmen at Barnbougle, where they opened some personalised gifts, before heading out on the lawn for some low-key photos before guests started to arrive. Cali enjoyed some champagne with her bridesmaids in the morning, before getting into her beautiful dress from The Own Studio. Marion and the team at Ochre Botanical had done such an incredible job with all of the flowers on the day. Before heading down to the ceremony, Cali had a lovely first look with her dad on the staircase.
They chose to have a humanist ceremony in the Library Room, officiated by David Elder. They had readings from their closest friends and family, a traditional hand fasting, and even had a little sing along to some of their favourite songs. Afterwards, we had a gentle stroll around the castle grounds for some relaxed couple photos, before their drinks reception. After a lovely speech from Cali on the terrace, everyone headed up to the stunning banquet hall, which had been perfectly prepped by the teams working together on the day. The food was as exceptional as always by the incredible team over at Wild Thyme. Following their wedding breakfast, and some great speeches, they enjoyed an evening of ceilidh dancing, before a spectacular firework show on the shores just off Barnbougle, before heading back in for some DJ sets from Adam and his friends. The perfect way to round off a truly amazing wedding day. Here are a collection of my favourite digital and 35mm film images from the day.
