Cairns Farm Wedding - Kirknewton, Scotland

Back in April, Alyx & Sam were married on a beautiful spring day at Cairns Farm. I was joined by Simon on the day, and we both spent the morning with them as they both got ready. Sam got ready with his groomsmen in one of the accommodations on site, whilst Alyx got ready with her family and bridesmaids in the main house. Alyx had her makeup done on the day by Nadia Doriano, and her hair was styled by Ashleigh Stewart. After Alyx was ready, we did a couple of portraits upstairs, before heading outside for a first look with her step-dad and brothers, as well as her grandma. Alyx’s dress was from Pretty Woman, with a beautiful bouquet from Ochre Botanicals Studios.

They then had their ceremony in the beautiful space at Cairns Farm, joined by all of their closest loved ones. Following on from this, they had an incredible confetti walk, before heading into their drinks reception outside. We spent a little bit of time before dinner walking down towards the loch for some couple photos, before heading back for their incredible entrance to their wedding breakfast (piped in by Alyx’s friend Janna!). The catering for the day was supplied by Edinburgh Catering Company, who served the most incredible food for them. After some amazing speeches, we then headed back out for some sunset photos by the house, followed by their cake cutting and first dance. Everyone got involved in their ceilidh, which rounded off such a special day for these two. Here are a collection of my favourite digital and film images from the day.
