Gilmerton House Wedding | East Lothian, Scotland
Towards the end of the summer, Justin & Hannah flew in from the US to have their wedding at the beautiful Gilmerton House. Situated around 30 minutes from Edinburgh, this venue is one of the best spots to get married in East Lothian. I spent the morning with Justin and his groomsmen, who enjoyed some games of snooker, along with a few glasses of whisky in the billiards room. Afterwards, we headed outside for some relaxed photos of them putting on their button holes, and them showing off their matching Highland Coo socks. Shortly after, Hannah made her way down to the gardens, where they had the sweetest first look, before doing their own private vows. All of their closest family and friends headed up to the music room, where they had an intimate ceremony, where they honoured a Scottish wedding tradition, of drinking from the Quiach. Enjoying some drinks and canapés in the gardens, before having a short walk around the grounds for their couple photos, it was the perfect afternoon for Justin & Hannah. After some amazing speeches, and a lovely intimate dinner in the laundry room, then then headed back in later on for an evening of partying. Justin even joined the Killer City Sound band for a couple of songs on drums, which was honestly incredible. A truly special wedding that I definitely won’t be forgetting about any time soon. Here are a collection of my favourite images from the day.
